And I am relieved

Today Pat and I went away to view Tony's new school, for a mandatory parent/teacher night. We met his new teacher Mrs. Holtz and took the grand tour. All I can say is WOW.

Last year we sent Tony off to the neighborhood Catholic school, (no names please if you can't be nice) due to Mommy moving up to Northbrook to work. This school has been a nightmare for me. Mandatory this, mandatory that oh by the way you are not in the in crowd yet with your first year so good luck getting in on this or getting in on that. BY THE WAY get out your checkbook at the end of the year when you get socked with the balance of the $400.00 fundraising and $10 per hour of the 15 hours in community service you couldn't get in on. All I have to say is.......Good riddance!

St. Dans is WONDERFUL. Brand new gym with programs for the little guys and girls. After school and weekend activities that make sense. Little man will be joining the bowling league in the fall, along with basketball as well. I am so relieved he will be able to do things. The mothers are great, we swapped numbers to work out half day and day off arrangments of the little ones.

The only bad thing little man will have in the coming year is he will no longer have bragging rights. Usually he takes pride in stating "My daddy is the police". While in the meet the teacher session today Pat ran into 7 daddies who are also the police. I can hear it now, Tony will be bragging and his other classmates will be like "So, mine is to"

My new classes started this week. I now firmly believe my thoughts in high school were correct when I said I am never going to use this. Damn, it sucks to be back in Algebra......20 years later I still don't use it, but I am being forced to take it again. Bummer.

And I still have a big smile on my face, Tony made me the CUTEST mothers day gift at school. Flowers with a picture of him in one of the flowers. He was sapposed to hide it until Sunday, but since he is my child he couldn't wait until then to give it to me. Little bugger thought he would hide it until Sunday after he showed it to me. TOOOOO late, Mommy will properly be displaying the art work on her desk tomorrow morning.
