Ok So I dont blog often and I am a stalker

Ok, so I am a facebook addict. I don't post to my blog to often. I just reached 20 YES 20 years sans highschool and I have been reconnecting with peeps from my past. Not sure why I have gotten so out of touch, but it is great to reconnect with everyone again. While I did not attend the actual reunion due to other plans, it was great to see everyone at the pre-reunion party the day before.

Well, I will come out of stalker mood and start following some of my stalker sites. I never realized so many people have such interesting tips and advice out there. I will chalk it up to my age.... who knew?

Bunnies, Motorcycles and Drag Strip wrecks Oh My!

Trips to my sisters are always a welcome day for Tony. Susie lives on eight acres in the middle of no-where. Tony woke up at 7:00 this morning wanting to leave, and now. Tony should know that getting up this early is not a good idea on Sunday. I have him trained to not wake up until after 8, I stay up late on Saturday doing homework and having time to just "chill". Thankfully the angel chilled in the bed with me while mommy slept another hour.
This morning however did not work as planned.

Owen, his parents, John, and my dad went drag racing in Indiana last night. John did wonderful and raced out of his bracket, moving his position in another round. Owen stayed within his bracket and his night did not end so well. Some DUFUS with a tire rub ignored warnings to not race and decided he did not give a damn about the safety and welfare of others. While racing the dufus lost a tire, Tboned Owen which sent his car in the air and rolling over seven to eight times. Why for the life of me I will never understand why more than 15 minutes passed until help was at the scene. Owen has suffered multiple injuries including head injuries, a broken jaw, broken ribs, and multiple cuts and scraps. Thankfully Owen will be ok, but this could have ended much worse.
My prayers are with Owen and his family, and I will never truly imagine the horror Owens parents, (who were at the scene and saw EVERYTHING) my father and brother in law John had to witness during this ordeal. I hope those who were there learned a valuable lesson to take safety in mind and if something doesnt look right, don't do it!

Tony and Kaylee feed and took care of the bunnies at aunt Susies today. I should say they chased the bunnies who wanted nothing to do with going back in their cages today. Tony had a blast though.

I must get a good nights sleep, busy week ahead with classes, work training, and graduations starting this week.

Insanity..... Or does it make you saine to realize it?

Life is hectic, and more hectic. I dispise Algebra. I do not know how I will survive.

Busy season of June is approaching way toooooo fast. I have to contend with 5 birthdays,(Pats niece and nephew, Pat, My Mom and My sister) fathers day, a high school graduation, a grade school graduation and a vacation thrown in the mix. I will need a vacation from my vacation by the time this is all done.

Tony has been better this week. Maybe I will let myself think he was such a brat because of the weather. Tball is in full spring and he has been "airing" out all week.

Algebra will not wait for me, and Grey's final is tonight. I hear car doors slamming which means I need to spend some time with Tony before Greys (and he knows better than to talk to Mommy) My one hour of silence will be two tonight and they best not kill Izzy!

All About Mothers

"A mother is not a person to lean on, but a person to make leaning unnecessary" ......author unknown...............

I do not believe I have ever seen any words placed together in a sentence to be true. It is something that is brought into a womans soul the second they see thier first child for the first time. Or in my case when I stopped shaking and realized what is going on. Five years later I still have not seen the video of my sons birth. My sister is holding out on me. This being my fifth year as a mother I have some goals, and some changes I need to see happen.

************************
First Goal.......MUST get a hold of my video of the birth of my child. I do realize that I checked out. My blood pressure dropped to 20/40 and my son was litterly ripped out of my body within 20 seconds. Pat has been kind enough to share the delivery room reminded him of "Inspector Gadget" buttons pushed, things dropping out of the cieling and the walls behind me. I don't remember it. This year I need to see it.
**********************

Second Goal.........I am used to Pat working on Mothers day. After all he is not a mother, so many police officers have to work, and thankfully his district makes sure all the female officers get the day off. I get this. This morning as my son had little horns growing out of his head I realized change needs to start with me. My goal is there needs to be some rules around here, my son is becoming far to spoiled. I need to think about these rules and will post them when they are realistic. I do know rule number one is going to be..... If you can't put your toys away then a needy child would love to have them. Anything that is stepped on or not picked up will be given to charity. I don't care what it is.

*********************
Third Goal....... I need to get MY ass in gear and start printing out the millions of pictures and memories into scrap books. I managed the first year, and Tony's trip to Florida. Then I stopped. I got too tired, school is kickin my butt, and I transferred to far away from home. I need to make time. I started with this blog, but I need to kick it up a step.
*******************

As a mother, and while my ranting is almost done I would not give one second back. I will never forget my first trip to the ER with Tony. He got croup in the middle of the night. He literally stopped breathing. I barely slept for two days while he was coughing.
His second trip to the ER scared me even more, and I watched in slow motion as his injury happened, saw it coming and I could not get to him in time to stop it. Tony was just learning how to walk and I had just put his socks on him. We were 10 minutes from walking out the door on our commute to daycare/work. Tony came running across the hardwood floor in the kitchen and lost his footing. He started to fall and then slid right into the bottom leg of the kitchen table. He hit the table so hard and so fast that I swore his nose was broken. There was blood all over the place and his eyes immediatly looked like someone had punched him in both eyes. Loyola was extermly fast in having him seen as there was a head injury and was the best expereince I have EVER had in a medical setting. His nose was not broken but he took quiet a header.
Tony has only had one other trip to the ER, he woke up in the middle of the night and was screaming he could not move his arm. Never could find anything, but he has been sleeping with me or Pat ever since and it has gone away. This brings me to my last goal........
************
Goal Four...... Get my child out of my bed. I need it back, seperate beds for me and Pat is getting too much. Tied with this goal is to MAKE Pat go to a sleep clinic. He has sleep apnea, he snores (LOUDLY) and he simply needs help....or Mommys goal will be to have her OWN room.
**********
Happy mothers day, and goodnight.......that is if my economics and IT instructors would ever post my final grades. I need to know if two days of sleep paid off and keeps me in honors on this eco class.

Crispy Ridges and Oreos for Breakfast

We all have to be a bad mommy once and a while. Today is that day. So my five year old wants oreos followed by Jays Crispy Ridges Chips for breakfast? What the hell, it is a fight I am not willing to have today. He is in the 10th percentile for his weight/age/height since the day he was born. Maybe he needs it? Atleast I can tell myself that to feel better about it.

************************************
Direct TV is here, a tree branch is gone, and I see a new pole. I have hope, but the morning is still young. All I know is my Sony 52' HDTV best work for the NASCAR race tonight. Pat and I bought the TV as our "Christmas" gift this year, I really want to see just how much better the picture will look.......nothing more exciting than cars beatin and banging each other on a short track to see it.

**********************************

Pat is working Mother's Day tomorrow, and I already have my gift.... since my birthday that is. I had to have a bluetooth installed into my car. Got sick of those little ear pieces that fall off and get stuck in between the seat, or in the back seat while you are in wall to wall traffic. I LOVE my installed blue tooth. Shuts off the radio for me, I dont have to search for the phone, can see who is calling on my dash. Anyone with a hour plus commute really should have one.
We will be going out for dinner tonight with Pat's mom. Not quite sure yet of the location but she is pretty simple so it will not be too fancy, with no worries of a 5 year old meltdown.

*******************************
Mothers day will bother me tomorrow. I usually buy my mom a gift card to pay for her flowers which are BEAUTIFUL around her yard. This year she decided she did not want any gifts for her birthday, mothers day, or christmas and asked that I take over her cell bill every month. I added the phones to my plan, which are only $20 a month. It isn't going to make or break me. I think I will still have to get her a mothers day gift. After all she did raise me, has always taken me back in when I was crazy in my 20's. Always gave me everything I needed.

I HAVE to do this. I will be picking up a gift card tomorrow morning, her home is so beautiful and she DESERVES this.

****************************
Off to stalk the Direct TV tech, I am getting reports that a hole being dug and a dish in the backyard. My son is like a hound dog right now.

Dinner with Tony

Daddy is working tonight so it's just me and the little man tonight. Dinner and then a DVD movie. Tony thinks he has the energy to stay up and wait for daddy. I should take bets that he will be snoring on the couch by 9:30. Tony had a busy day with old friends at daycare, and didn't want to leave when I picked him up at 5. I can tell they wore him out, he is getting a bit whinny.

Of all places he choose Patio again, I asked and it was because he didn't get to eat anything last weekend because of the umbrella fiasco. BBQ chicken and baked potato. Yummy.

Apparently picking out a movie is proving to be challenging, and I still don't know what is in store for me. I did make sure to hide a few movies my nerves just could not handle though. :-)

************************************************************************************
Tomorrow is the day that Direct TV will or will not keep my business. I never thought it would be so challenging to have a new reciever installed at the house. These dang HD recievers weigh 70 pounds and we refuse to put the thing on the roof. We live in Chicago for Pete's sake. It is nothing to get 50 mile per hour winds. I would prefer not to take the chance of roof damage. (AGAIN mind you) We have already had four different techs at the house, all at equal brain damage levels who all told us different stories. The last straw was a manager who stopped by. Told us to install (AKA DIG A HOLE, PUT IN A POLE<>
Naturally I cancelled the reciever, dish and service and advised Direct TV I had enough of their service and advised dish is coming out next week to expect my termination of contract. (not exactly that nicely though)

Johnny regional manager called the other day and ASSURED us our recievers, dish and service will be acceptable tomorrow, not on the roof and to what ever expense direct tv has to eat as we have been loyal customers since 2000. I will believe it when I see it. Something tells me I will have a core melt down on someone tomorrow. I may want to hide Tony, so he doesnt have to see his mom go all batty on someone.

*************************************************************************************
Mommy is beat, has an algebra test due by midnight with a bath to give and a movie to watch. Can't wait to sleep in on Sunday!
